Something a little different today.

Today I had my first experience with Paintball. An interesting insight into the mindset of the non-military militant.

So I by nature am a fairly non-violent kind of guy. My greatest feats of agression are the occasional scream at other drivers (who are typically complete idiots so it is OK to do this anyway). So this was a fun little excursion into the Paintball world.

So there are folks that have all the gear.... and I mean all the gear... I know I like my toys... these guys really like their toys... couple of grand on guns, reloader cartidges, masks, clothes etc.... So now I feel a little less guilty about my little toys.......

That said... it was fun... gets the adrenaline moving... running around the woods shooting at each other... all up until I got beaned in the head.... f&*k that really hurt.... and I have the welt to prove it.... overall it was a fun day in the bush....

Will I do it again.... yeah maybe... not rushing out to buy all the gear though...

Would I recommend it to others... well I think you gotta try it once... Its a good release...

So last night was the big Apple iPod relaease event....

So i went to the local Mac store... not really expecting a big event.. but expecting that they would have new iPod's available (having called the store earlier in the day to verify that they were going to have them).

I get there and buddy tells me that they will have one... yes ONE... available for sale.. and it'll be a 15gig version....

So as i originally thought i will have to wait til probably the 9th to get my 30gig iPod.... still waiting....

In absence of clearly defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily acts of trivia.

so here it is..... isn't it shweet....



k... i think the time has come when i finally get an iPod....

unfortunately I'll still have to wait another 2 weeks before they are available here....

Well today is Monday the 28th of April.... soon we will have the latest cool new device from Apple... c'mon new iPod....

So don't you hate it when some yahoo starts up a weblog... makes a couple of posts... then ignores it for weeks on end....

I apoligize.. as if there is anybody reading this... I just get these little busy spots and have not had any time to update anything here....

So whats new... I'm really looking forward to the big "Music to your ears" announcement from Apple tomorrow thats being discussed allover the rumor sites... rumour roundup at Mac Rumors....

I've been delaying buying an iPod since january snce there have been rumors of new units / price drops for the past four months... i think this may be the time... if there is actually new product announced...

Or should I wait for the new communication device everybody is talking about... also from Mac Rumors...

Anyway.. still a waiting game either way... just because the announcement is tomorrow... how long 'til there is actual product available...

That's my thoughts for now...

I'll try a little hrader to keep the blog up to date...

So i realize nobody is reading this but i have to put this down anyway.

right off the top i have an issue that pisses me off. one word. micro$oft. thats it. im sure you've never heard any bitching abot this particularly lovely corporation in the past. and im sure there are many issues that i could whine about with them but today i only have one.

IE and the love for standards. as i work on developing this website for my own personal playground i develop all of the graphics and code on a mac. i use a combination of tools to produce the pages and i try to use standard web practices as developed by the W3C.

unfortunately in my initial development i was pretty oblivious to any of the m$ issues as i use Apple's Safari browser almost exclusively, and only turn on IE in desperate times.

but one day i turn to a friends machine (winbloze) and have a look at my site.... it looks like shit... my apologies to the timid... no adherence to the use of DIV tag positioning as set out in my site CSS, layout gets screwed.... no recognition of transparent PNG files... there goes a bunch of images, not to mention my headerss.... there's more but i'm gonna hunt them down before too many people find them....

c'mon m$.... work with standards....
